I extend a warm welcome with distinct pleasure to all as the founding Chair of the newly established Department of Aerospace Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University. As we embark on this exciting journey, I am thrilled about the potential for innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence that will define our department’s trajectory in the future, which is to be one of the leading aerospace departments in Turkey.

The creation of our Aerospace Engineering Department marks a significant milestone, and I am honored to lead a team of dedicated faculty committed to shaping the future of aerospace education and research.

We aim to lay the foundation for a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for our students. We designed our curriculum to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiences, ensuring that, in addition to a solid academic foundation, our students will graduate with practical skills that will set them apart in the aerospace industry.

To our students, you will be the trailblazers of this department, and we are excited to witness the incredible contributions and achievements that will undoubtedly emerge from your journey with us. I believe you will be an integral part of a community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of aerospace engineering worldwide.

As our academics and students collectively shape our department’s identity, we will encourage our students to actively participate in various initiatives, research opportunities, and collaborative endeavors. Hence, your involvement will play a crucial role in defining the legacy of our department.

We look forward to fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and innovation as we collectively navigate academic exploration with you.
