For Prospective Students

Why Aerospace Engineering?

Aeronautics and astronautics engineering is one of the most attractive and multidisciplinary engineering fields, both in the past and today. Technological advancements in the aeronautics and space sector have also led to developments in other areas such as communication and automotive industries. Graduates of aeronautics and astronautics engineering can find work in various sectors due to their theoretical and technical knowledge and advanced creativity, depending on their skills and interests.

Our Teaching Plan
100% English instruction
Fundamental courses in engineering, aeronautics and astronautics engineering
Broad elective course options
Active and interactive learning
Project and problem-based educational approach with interrelated courses
Why Dokuz Eylül University Faculty Of Engineering?

Since 1969, it has had a long-standing engineering education and training infrastructure, successfully producing engineers in many fields. Student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana are supported. The faculty offers double major and minor programs, allowing students to gain expertise in multiple engineering disciplines.

Where Our Graduates Work
  • Design and production in the aeronautics and space sector (e.g., TUSAŞ, TEI, ROKETSAN, SAGE, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN)
  • Maintenance, repair, and aircraft management in the aviation sector
  • Automotive, wind energy, and home appliances sectors
  • R&D centers related to these sectors
Our Research Laboratory

The Aerodynamics and Simulation Laboratory of the Department of Aerospace Engineering focuses on examining the aerodynamic performance of air and space vehicles, researching flow dynamics principles, and developing numerical simulation methods. The laboratory’s work includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses, turbulence and flow control studies, and aerodynamic optimization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
