Why Aerospace Engineering?

Aeronautics and astronautics engineering is one of the most attractive and multidisciplinary engineering fields, both in the past and today. Technological advancements in the aeronautics and space sector have also led to developments in other areas such as communication and automotive industries. Graduates of aeronautics and astronautics engineering can find work in various sectors due to their theoretical and technical knowledge and advanced creativity, depending on their skills and interests.

Why Dokuz Eylül University Faculty Of Engineering?

Since 1969, it has had a long-standing engineering education and training infrastructure, successfully producing engineers in many fields. Student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana are supported. The faculty offers double major and minor programs, allowing students to gain expertise in multiple engineering disciplines.

About The Department

The undergraduate program is planned to start in the 2025-2026 academic year. It has started with two faculty members, and efforts are ongoing to strengthen the teaching staff. Plans are underway to establish modern and advanced student laboratories, with discussions being held with relevant firms.

  • Automotive, wind energy, and home appliances sectors
  • R&D centers related to these sectors

Our Graduates

  • Will have a strong theoretical and technical foundation in basic engineering and aeronautics and astronautics engineering.
  • Will develop the ability to generate up-to-date and innovative ideas in the field of aeronautics and astronautics engineering.
  • Will be able to identify problems in aeronautics and astronautics engineering, use scientific methods to solve and interpret them, and present their results in national and international contexts.
